R&G Conquers Yorkshire 3 Peaks for Children Today

They came, they saw, they conquered!

On Saturday 19th October, a determined team from R&G Fluid Power Group took on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Powering on through tough terrain, weather and aching muscles – all for an amazing cause: Children Today Charitable Trust.

This dedicated group set out to make a difference and thanks to the overwhelming support from colleagues, family and friends, they raised an incredible £4,800, a sum that will go directly towards providing specialised equipment for disabled children, helping them lead more independent and fulfilling lives.

The funds raised will transform lives and Children Today Charitable Trust shared just how meaningful this support is:

“An awesome team effort and an incredible achievement by everyone involved Not to mention an amazing amount raised to help support disabled children and young adults. Over £4,000 (including gift aid) and counting!

To put this into perspective, £4,000 could help us provide up to 4 adapted trikes to transform the lives of 4 children who cannot ride regular bikes. This gives them and their families more freedom to get out and enjoy life.”

Filip’s story is one powerful example of what this support means. Filip’s mum, Gabriela, explains how an adapted trike provided by Children Today changed her son’s life:

“I can’t even put into words how happy Filip is since getting this trike. He’s like a different child. We knew that the trike would be great for his physical development, but seeing how much joy and happiness it has brought him is amazing.

The pandemic and lockdowns really affected Filip’s mental health and confidence. But since he’s had the trike, he’s so much happier and becoming more independent. He’s the smiling, chatty Filip we know and love again."
