Pennine Pneumatic Services Ltd acquires Norman Walker Machinery Ltd

Pennine Pneumatic Services Ltd (PPS), one of the UK’s leading providers of compressed air, pneumatic and chiller solutions, acquires Hull firm Norman Walker Machinery Ltd (Norman Walker) in a move that aims to unify and strengthen the service offering for manufacturers across the region.

Established in 1930, Norman Walker is a key supplier and installer of air compressors and pneumatics across East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. Driven by a dedicated team who pride themselves on delivering excellent service to their loyal customer base, their values mirror those of PPS, providing a solid cultural fit for the acquisition.

“Norman Walker becoming part of PPS is a very exciting opportunity for both firms. The team structure of Norman Walker will remain the same with Simon Biggs staying on to lead the team, as his father and grandfather have done before him.

This acquisition expands the reach of PPS across the north of England: the company now has four branches, including their Brighouse head office, the new Leigh branch, Simm Engineering Group in Sheffield and Norman Walker in Hull.

PPS became part of the wider R&G Fluid Power Group in 2018 and have since benefitted from the support of this passionate network of businesses. Norman Walker will become the latest addition to the group, expanding the presence on the east coast.
